Haroon Rashid is an Indian film director, writer, producer and cinematographer whose restless pursuit of the unbroken shot rewrote what a camera could endure.
Born 25 November 1977, Haroon works across Hindi cinema wearing every hat on set. He has produced, directed, written and shot his own films, guiding each project from the first idea to the final frame.
His name became internationally recognised with One Shot: Fear Without Cut, a feature horror filmed entirely in a single continuous take on the streets of Mumbai, an achievement that carried his work to festivals in Venice, Shanghai and Sundance.
He is best known for One Shot: Fear Without Cut, Rokkk and Aahat, a body of work defined by tension, atmosphere and technical daring.
On 30 September 2010, Haroon Rashid directed and shot One Shot: Fear Without Cut on location in Mumbai, a feature length horror captured on a single camera, in a single unbroken take, with no edits.
Running 3 hours, 28 minutes and 4 seconds, it entered the Guinness World Records and the Limca Book of Records as the longest film shot on a single camera, and earned recognition at the Venice, Shanghai and Sundance film festivals before its general release in 2014.
